I took a taxi to the only grocery store that sells my cat’s food, aha. Not even pet stores had it and I tried three of them today! So I took a little venture, and there was a girl with really short blonde hair, wearing a long brown and cream jacket who I thought was especially cute in line buying groceries as well. These things make me nervous, so I ended up at the furthest cash register away - with only two items ridiculously (she was in the 1-12 item line, so I couldn’t possibly go there as well aha). She kept looking over to me though across the crowd, and I smiled when our eyes caught and then pretended to look at the ceiling or something dumb every time, aha. She took forever to pack up her bags, and by that time I was almost ready to check out too. She finished before me though, and I was watching her leave, but as she was about to walk out, she turned back and looked at me again before vanishing into oblivion, reminding me of the Jack Kerouac quote, “A pain stabbed my heart, as it did every time I saw a girl I loved who was going the opposite direction in this too-big world.”
